Welcome to my light and airy studio in Shipley, Bradford, a calm and cosy space for babies, children and families to feel completely at ease. I’m a newborn specialist with over 20 years experience, and I love creating gently posed, relaxed sessions that capture your little ones just as they are, in soft, natural light.

For newborns, the studio is warm and cosy, with blankets and wraps to keep your baby comfortable. Sessions are unhurried and baby-led, giving plenty of time for cuddles, feeds, and those tiny, fleeting details — sleepy yawns, curled-up hands, and gentle stretches.

Older babies, children, and families are equally welcome, with every session tailored to suit your family. Using soft tones, timeless props, and minimal styling, I create classic, elegant images that never go out of style — photographs you’ll treasure for a lifetime.

Whether you’re welcoming a new arrival, celebrating a milestone, or simply capturing your family together, every session is relaxed, personal, and full of care, resulting in beautiful, heartfelt images that you’ll cherish forever.

HOW LONG DOES A NEWBORN STUDIO SHOOT TAKE?

My newborn session last approximately 2-3 hours to allow plenty of time for changing setups and soothing techniques. Baby will need time for feeding and plenty of cuddles as well. Photographs with parents and siblings are included in both of the packages.

MY BABY HAS ALREADY ARRIVED, IS IT TOO LATE TO BOOK?

If you haven't booked, but have just had your baby, please do still get in touch, late availability can sometimes happen.

IS MY BABY TOO OLD FOR A SHOOT?

I photograph babies of all ages, not just newborns! We may not get sleepy baby photos, but we could see a little smile, gorgeous big eyes and little personalities starting to shine through. Around 6 months is a great age for studio shoots, baby tends to be sitting, starting to giggle and becoming a little character.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO PHOTOGRAPH MY NEWBORN?

As newborn babies are tiny for such a short while, these sessions are best carried out within one to three weeks of birth, as baby remains sleepy and curly at this age.

HOW SOON DO I NEED TO BOOK?

The ideal time to book with me is before you have had your baby, I recommend booking in as soon as possible after your first scan as I book up well in advance. Once your booking is confirmed, I’ll pencil your due date in my diary to ensure I have an available slot, allowing flexibility for baby's arrival. Once your little one arrives we can then set a suitable date within the first 21 days. 

WHEN DO SHOOTS TAKE PLACE?

Sessions take place WEEKDAY mornings, so if you have siblings that you would like to be included in the shoot, please bear in mind they may need a morning off of school. I do Saturday sessions where possible for a £65 surcharge. The studio is closed at the weekend so this cannot be guaranteed and can only be available if I have a spare Saturday.

HOW CAN WE CELEBRATE MY BABY TURNING ONE?

Say it with CAKE! To celebrate turning one, a cake smash shoot consists of a mini portrait shoot, where your little one can wear something nice and we can create some gorgeous images to celebrate this milestone, we then bring out the cake, a change of outfit, decorations and get stuck in. The babies love it and tend to spend more time bashing the cake than eating it. Its then time for a little bath to finish up. We can also do a milestone shoot without a real cake if you prefer, just let me know! I have a really cute wooden cake with little candles.

HOW LONG DOES A STUDIO SESSION LAST?

Studio sessions take around one hour, but I work at yours or your child's pace, sometimes they can be shorter or run longer. Sessions in the studio are for up to 4 people. For larger groups I recommend booking an outdoor session.

HOW LONG WILL I HAVE TO WAIT TO SEE THE PHOTOS?

Your photographs will by sent to you in a password protected online gallery approximately three weeks after your photo shoot.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST

A £50 booking fee is taken to secure your photo shoot. This booking fee will be deducted from your chosen package. This covers your time in the studio, use of props, blankets and accessories. Your photographs will be edited in my signature style and then sent to you in a password protected online gallery approximately three weeks after your photo shoot.
